Hi everyone! Just blown away by the surface texture details from Tencent's new Hunyuan3D-2.1🤯 It's labeled as a 2.1 update, but the leap in quality from version 2.0 is honestly night and day. The realism in the PBR materials, like the light interacting with metallic or other complex surfaces, is on another level. And what makes this even more significant is that it's a fully open-source, production-ready system. They're releasing the full training and inference code, not just the model weights.
Good Idea! How do you think this open-source approach will impact the accessibility of high-quality 3D assets for indie developers or smaller studios?
Turning images into high-fidelity 3D with PBR? 🖼️➡️🧊 That’s next-level! Can’t wait to see how it handles fine geometry and real-time rendering. 🔍✨
From 2D to stunning 3D with PBR? 🤯 This could level up asset creation big time. Can't wait to test how it handles lighting and texture details! 💡
Excellent, i have used and it has great potential for artist and modelers to create models and sell them or give away for free.
Discussion threads divided by interest score. Above 0.30 is strong. Below 0.15 suggests the product got clicks but not conversation.
