Really great idea! Would love to have more features for customisation (eg: types of t-shirts, logo placement, extra text). In terms of friction, going through multiple cycles of image generation takes a bit of time too, so it might be worth allow for the generation of more than 4 images (say 10 - 20) when you are logged in. Pinning / saving designs whilst you're exploring a design that you might want to order would be great too, so you don't lose anything you preferred.
