MiniKey is the simplest one time password generator for two-factor authentication. MiniKey lives in your menu bar, and lets you copy generated codes with a click, and drag codes from MiniKey into authenticating apps.

what if you change mac? does that sync on different devices?

Other 2FA apps do too much, try to have all the features that you probably don't need or even want. MiniKey does the exact opposite, it aims to fade into the background until you need it. Then, it's only a tap away to an already-generated code right in your menu bar.

Thanks for checking out MiniKey! I've worked hard at making the app as simple, fast and easy to use as possible, so feel free to DM me on twitter @ thecoolwinter with any bugs or suggestions!

Just purchased it and like it 🙂. One feature missing for me: an indicator that shows when the code will expire/renew.

Love the menu bar UX, although I'm sure many are nervous about how secure this is. Have you considered open sourcing, @thecoolwinter?

Check the similar products section on this page, or browse the category pages linked in the tags above. Each category page shows all products for a given year, sorted by engagement.

A measure of community engagement at launch. Higher means more people noticed and interacted with the product. It's a traction signal, not a quality rating.

Discussion threads divided by interest score. Above 0.30 is strong. Below 0.15 suggests the product got clicks but not conversation.
