🎉🎉🎉 Hey Product Hunt! Excited to share our bootstrapped startup Reciprocity with you. We envision a world where everyone can ask for help and find a friendly face with relevant experience. My cofounder @amit101 built our beta web app as Communications Chair of his MBA class, while facing the same pain points as professional community managers: - Middle-manning introductions between members and mentors - Losing past knowledge and institutional wisdom through poorly formatted archives - Answering
This is a great tool for anyone looking to help others and make a difference in their community. I've tried this tool out(as a part of an Indie hacker community on slack) and loved the experience. The Ask/Offer feature is so simple to use and it works so well. I can see what other members are offering and then see if I can help them and vice versa. This is a great tool that allows me to help others while also helping others help me. All the best to @itscoreyb and Team!
I'm so glad I'm seeing Reciprocity on PH! Every Slack community member is facing some sort of challenge at some point, RC is solving this by offering community members connections and real-time problem-solving. Knowing the journey they had from the idea stage to the final product, I can only say, guys, I hope this reaches the right audience and more community managers are incorporating the app into their daily lives.
Wondered when this would pop up on product hunt! Have used this in a couple different communities now and been able to connect with people I had no idea to reach out to. Used it for a specific product management ask and to offer help prepping for product manager interviews. Hope this takes off!
Big fan of Reciprocity - I’ve been using it in my community for months, and it works great.
