This is a kids book about war. Really! It helps explain what war is, why wars start, and what happens after a war. In light of all the current global conflict, this felt like the right book to create and just give away so kids everywhere can find some answers.

An incredibly important topic especially right now.

I remember a certain war 30 years ago when I was a kid. It was just a newspaper headline and a few videos on tv that I paid little attention to. Cannot imagine what is going through kids heads with how much news/stories are available vs back then.

The book is designed to help kids understand war, and it does a great job of that. It does not go into detail about many wars; rather it looks at the reasons for war and how people are affected by them. The book also mentions that there are ways to resolve conflict without going to war, such as negotiation and diplomacy. I found here Popular Children's Books which I think kids should read in order to increase their knowledge.
