Companies pay referral bonuses for new hires, but only to their employees. Why? Draftboard is where companies make them public and claimable by anyone. Refer your network to jobs and get paid - it's that simple.
Ignore the products with high interest but low engagement. They rode a trend or nailed a launch day. Look for the ones where the discussion count is disproportionately high relative to the interest score. Those products hit a nerve.
Recency is a factor too. Tools from the past year had access to better AI models, newer APIs, and the benefit of watching earlier entrants fail. Older tools had more time to ship and iterate.
Because interest score measures initial attention, not quality. A 300-interest product with 0.50 engagement ratio has a small, obsessed audience. That's usually a better sign than 3,000 interest with 0.08 engagement, which screams 'great marketing, thin product.'
The index tracks launches automatically. If something's missing, it either launched below our engagement threshold or hasn't been indexed yet.
