A simple tool to get website favicons and provide embed code

What the Community Said

Hi PH Community, Hi everyone, I am yang, I spent a few hours on a weekend writing a project using v0 called favicon.run, which is an icon tool website, the first released feature is to get icons of various sizes of other websites and support embedding in your website, articles, design materials. Therefore it supports markdown embed and web embedding, suitable for directory website construction and product design, article citations. Next step: What should I do? Icon Maker?

Love the simplicity here. Just thinking out loud, would it make sense to add a "preview on dark/light background" toggle for designers who want to see how the favicon will look in different UI settings? I tried it out and it looks like it’s doing exactly what it promises. This UI is super clean and intuitive , love how you offer both HTML and Markdown snippets for instant use πŸ™Œ πŸ’‘would be awesome if there was a "Download All" ZIP option so designers/devs could grab all favicon sizes in one click.

Great domain clubbed with perfect value proposition. I figure this is first prototype, which is why API related information isn't visible. It looks like a wonerful API only product clubbed with other brand data as well (as an addon in premium plans potentially?)

Is it only for Favicons? Can it extract logos as well?

Bookmarking this for my next project! Love the batch processing - does it preserve favicon dimensions/quality when fetching multiple sizes? The embed code snippet is clutch.
