This is called a dehumidifier, and the reason why it's commonly used to remove dampness/avoid mold growth and not to produce drinking water is because it's incredibly energy inefficient for water extraction. What do I know? I live in a humid area and run many dehumidifiers in my home (much cheaper albeit not as fancy looking). At 580W/hr at full speed (and the 10L/day are only @ full speed & in already high humidity environments 60%-80%), you're looking at 12kWh (or about $1.80 @ $.15/kWh for 10

I have a trotec dehumidifier. It takes water from air and collects it in a tank. I asked them is that water good for drinking. They said theoretically it is just distilled water, but there can also be particles of chemicals present in the air of our home, like from washing, cleaning, furniture, etc. Also dust from the air can be in that water. I read that you add minerals to the water you collect, but is there also a filtering process for these chemicals? Basically, apart from mineral enriching,
