This is called a dehumidifier, and the reason why it's commonly used to remove dampness/avoid mold growth and not to produce drinking water is because it's incredibly energy inefficient for water extraction. What do I know? I live in a humid area and run many dehumidifiers in my home (much cheaper albeit not as fancy looking). At 580W/hr at full speed (and the 10L/day are only @ full speed & in already high humidity environments 60%-80%), you're looking at 12kWh (or about $1.80 @ $.15/kWh for 10
Incredible product! *_* It reminds me of super inventions that were almost utopian ideas when we were young XD And now I am looking at it like ''omg we are on that stage! *_*'' It is a really brilliant idea! I can easily say - it is the future! ^_^ And all endorsements to the amazing, elegant design of the product, as well as to the super awesome website! Big congratulations on the launch! I am impressed! *_*
I have a trotec dehumidifier. It takes water from air and collects it in a tank. I asked them is that water good for drinking. They said theoretically it is just distilled water, but there can also be particles of chemicals present in the air of our home, like from washing, cleaning, furniture, etc. Also dust from the air can be in that water. I read that you add minerals to the water you collect, but is there also a filtering process for these chemicals? Basically, apart from mineral enriching,
