Rare Things brings you short-form video shopping from world-class artisans. Shop limited collections and step into the studio workshops of expert ceramicists, metalsmiths, woodworkers, textile artists, leather crafters, and seamstresses from around the globe.
What a beautifully designed product and fantastic set of creators to support! I can't wait to start buying through Rare Things and to see where the whole thing goes. Without this I can't imagine finding a way to directly support craftspeople across the world (without having to go through big aggregators like Amazon that commoditize and dry up the entire value chain), and I can already tell the quality of the shopping experience will be so much richer than other marketplaces. Great work, @alvinhs
Wow! I love the unique collections of high-quality items, and Rare Things actually brings to life the craft that goes into each good and the authentic story behind each artisan. I didn't realize that I needed a ceramic spoon rest. However, after learning about Clare, the ceramicist from LA, and seeing her creative process; I placed my fist order on Rare Things. My kitchen countertop and I thank you :)
If Etsy is the Whole Foods of handmade marketplaces, then Rare Things stands out as the locally sourced, small-batch farmers market down the street. The quality of curation paired with the sleek design makes this site instantly shine. The short-video format that Rare Things puts front and center struck me as a wonderful way to create a connection with each artisan and develop a story behind every purchase. Really impressed so far and canβt wait for what else they have in store!
