Pressto helps to develop media literacy, critical thinking & writing skills by making journalism easy, accessible and simple for students. We teach students skills like differentiating fact & opinion and reduce the risk of depression from social media.

What the Community Said

I first discovered Pressto in a dream. I was the founder of Northside Media (acquired) and Brooklyn Magazine (acquired). I sought opportunities to volunteer at high school newspapers in Brooklyn. I spoke with James Madison High School, where Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Charles Schumer and Bernie Sanders each attended high school, and I learned that the student journalism program had been abandoned. This was my inspiration for starting Pressto.

Such a wonderful concept and execution of idea. I'm going to get my 9YO to test this out and encourage more ways of storytelling and fact finding in the world. Thank you!

Great effort, as an unschooling parent I love seeing this kind of thing exist in the world.

Kudos for the great goal of preventing "risk of depression from social media.". This mission become very critical recently. It would be better if you linked the "Get it" button to your notion page instead, so everyone could understand more about the idea before jumping to you signup page.
